Although modern Pharaoh Dogs have not enjoyed the same celebrity, those of Pharaonic Egypt were represented with their royal owners in works of art that decorated their tombs and palaces, representations that have been reproduced all over the world, and that make this dog be instantly recognizable despite its rare status.
It is for the latter that it is the Maltese national breed and is known in Maltese as Kelb-tal Fenek (rabbit dog).
It is a haughty and thin dog, it has a triangular head, with amber or dark brown eyes, wearing long, erect and stiff ears.
On the other hand, being a breed accustomed to hot weather, it may not take very well to live in cold places. Of course, you should never sleep in the open, as you could catch a cold.
Its price can be up to 6,000 euros
